Screening of the film Bell'Epokèr by Apulian director Nico Cirasola, as part of the Cinema Italia UK series.

A work that blends cabaret and entertainment between Apulian tradition and the Belle Époque, with an ironic and poetic look at Southern culture.

Nico Cirasola, Italy, 2003, 100m.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the art director Daniele Trevisi.

Bell'Epokèr by Nico Cirasola is a bittersweet journey into early 20th-century Southern Italy, where aristocrats, dancers and card sharps collide in the gilded halls of Bari's legendary Teatro Petruzzelli.

The screening is part of the Puglian Italian Festival. With the patronage of the producer Mediterranea Film in cooperation with The Italian Ministry of Culture.

Join us for the special screening of Bell'Epokèr in occasion of the Puglian Italian Fest in London (6–15 June) and don't miss your chance to meet the TV personality and comedian Pinuccio.

Born in Bari in 1979, Alessio Giannone is a lawyer turned filmmaker, satirist, and actor, best known for his popular YouTube character "Pinuccio" and his role as a correspondent for the satirical news program Striscia la Notizia.

For administrative reasons, under-18s are not admitted — but the film itself is suitable for all ages.
